Ken Shamrock Open to WWE Return @ Extreme Rules
Updated: Sep 21, 2022
The UFC Hall of Famer could be back as soon as next month after a 23-year absence from The Federation.
Shamrock joined the World Wrestling Federation in 1997 after establishing himself in the Ultimate Fighting Championship, and became a WWF Intercontinental Champion, Tag Team co-Champion and the 1998 King of the Ring.
Taking to Twitter this week, the former NWA World's Champion praised WWE’s new direction, following the announcement that Seth Rollins and Matt Riddle will compete in the Fight Pit at Extreme Rules.
When a fan called this the “perfect” match for Shamrock to officiate, the World’s Most Dangerous Man agreed.
Ken has been vocal about a return to the Federation in recent years, saying in 2017 that he doesn’t understand why the company doesn't bring him back.
The former UFC Champion left the WWF in 1999 and is one of a small number of high-profile names to have never been brought back.
WWE Extreme Rules will take place on October 8th, at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
